Structured Data Cabling

The physical foundation for every technology system.

From one new drop to a multi-site rollout, the scope should match the environment—not a generic template.

Need a cabling quote that is actually comparable?

We can scope conductor type, cable rating, pathway, testing and closeout requirements so competing bids are based on the same job.

Material standard: Best Cabling Company does not use Copper-Clad Aluminum (CCA) as a substitute for proper copper Category network cabling. When comparing bids, confirm the conductor material—not just the “Cat6” printed on a box or proposal. Why this matters →
Structured Cabling

Cat6 & Cat6A network cabling

Horizontal cabling for workstations, printers, phones, wireless access points, cameras and other Ethernet-connected devices. Projects can include pathways, J-hooks, jacks, faceplates, patch panels, labeling and rack-side patching.

Typical projects

Office buildouts • Moves/adds/changes • Warehouse drops • Expansion areas • New APs • Camera deployments • Switch upgrades • Rack remediation

Fiber Optics

Backbones for distance and capacity

Fiber is commonly used between equipment rooms, buildings and network devices when copper distance limits, electrical isolation or bandwidth requirements make it the better medium.

Design considerations

Single-mode vs. multimode • Connector type • Strand count • Pathway • Protection • Termination method • Testing • Future capacity

MDF / IDF

Racks, patch panels and cable management

A clean network closet is not about cosmetics. Logical rack layout and labeling reduce accidental disconnects, shorten troubleshooting and make expansion easier.

Closet services

Rack installation • Patch panels • Cable managers • Switch layout • UPS placement planning • Labeling • Cleanup • Abandoned-cable review • Documentation

Specialty Wireless

Site-to-site wireless bridges

When two buildings or areas need to be networked together and a clear line of sight exists between them, a purpose-built wireless bridge can be an excellent alternative to trenching or extending cable over difficult paths. We design and install outdoor point-to-point and select point-to-multipoint links for campuses, warehouses, detached offices, security devices and similar use cases.

Typical requirements: clear line of sight, stable mounting, outdoor-rated hardware, proper grounding/surge protection, network design at both ends, and realistic expectations about distance, throughput and environment.

Example platforms

UniFi Building Bridge XG • higher-capacity building links

UniFi Building Bridge • point-to-point building connectivity

UniFi Device Bridge Pro • flexible remote wireless uplinks

Installation essential: Ethernet surge protection for outdoor Ethernet devices

Wireless Infrastructure

Wi-Fi still depends on wire

Modern wireless access points depend on correctly planned Ethernet runs, switch ports and often Power over Ethernet. AP location and cable design should be coordinated with the wireless design.

Related work

AP cable runs • Ceiling locations • PoE readiness • IDF capacity • Patch-panel terminations • Labeling • Network switch coordination

Low Voltage

Connected building systems

Voice, IP cameras, access-control cabling, paging, A/V, POS and other systems all benefit from organized pathways and documentation.

Available capabilities

Voice/VoIP wiring • CCTV/IP camera cabling • Access-control cabling • Paging • Coax • POS • A/V • Line-of-sight connectivity • Project management

Quality Control

Testing, labeling and documentation

Installation quality should be verified before turnover. The testing level should match the project requirement—from continuity/wiremap validation through standards-based certification where specified.

Closeout

Endpoint labels • Patch-panel labels • Test results as scoped • Port records • Photographs • As-built notes • Punch-list correction

Rack layout, cable entry, patching and serviceability matter just as much as the cable itself.
Rack & Closet Design

Make future service easier.

We plan racks and network closets so technicians can trace, patch, expand and troubleshoot without creating a new mess every time something changes.
